The Get-together program organizes events and leisure activities for all international students throughout their studies. Every 2 weeks we invite students to go on excursions in the region, to visit events, to do sports or other joint activities.

The get-together program is designed for international degree students; it does not cover participation by exchange students.

There is no registration period for the get-together program. If you are interested in joint activities and making new acquaintances, you are welcome to join at any time during the semester and register for an event.

The program for the summer semester 2024 will be published as a Moodle course. After you have been admitted to the course, you will receive detailed information on the individual program items.

The weekly International Coffee Hour is intentionally designed to be a less active and more casual thing on weekly basis. If you want to meet new people over a cup of coffee or tea, have a quiet chat or simply take a break, this is the place for you.

We bring coffee, tea and homemade cookies. If you would like to bring something, either purchased or homemade, you are welcome to do so - but no one expects you to bring anything. We're just happy to have you there :)

Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions to our Student Assistants on the sidelines of Coffee Hour.

All international students, both degree-seeking students and exchange students, are invited to attend.

The International Coffee Hour takes part every Friday between 3 p.m. and at least 5 p.m. in the Brechtbau in a student room with sofas.

Please go one floor up the grand staircase in the building and follow the signs there to the International Coffee Hour.

Two people with different mother tongues form a language partnership or tandem, who meet regularly to learn each other's languages and at the same time get to know
each other's culture better. Language learning in tandem can, for example, complement a language course, but it can also take place completely independently.

University sports can be seen as an important measure for the biopsychosocial health of students. Sport not only supports their health by providing them with sufficient exercise, the university sport offers also encourage social contacts, from which new students in particular benefit.
