Research

“I work with skeletal and dental remains of Late Pleistocene hominins, with a particular focus on dental remains from the Levant. With a background in dentistry and forensic odontology, I moved into Palaeolithic research four years ago, working with archaeological excavations and museum collections in Lebanon and currently with museum collections in Syria. My research uses dental evidence to investigate the behavioural patterns, health, and morphological variation of Late Pleistocene human populations in the Levant, with a particular focus on deciduous teeth.”
