Intense accretion on magnetized neutron stars

High-accretion disks around magnetized neutron stars can supply material falling to NS in the form of a thick magnetospheric flow. A radiation dominated shock may form high above the surface of NS and even reach the size of the accretion disk. We investigate the dynamics of the magnetospheric flow by means of our time-dependent 1D model which solves conservation equations of ideal radiative MHD in an aligned dipolar magnetosphere. Our 1D model allows us to investigate the evolution of oscillations of the flow and the conditions to preserve its equilibrium. We also model pulsations produced by the surface emission of the flow.
