Short Bio

Ana Vallarta (she/her) holds a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Latin American Studies and a master’s degree from Tübingen University in Cultures of the Global South, which she obtained with a thesis titled “Crisis of Language and Narratives of Displacement in Three Selected Novels of the Global South”. Since 2022, she is doing her PhD at Tübingen University researching figurations of the toxic and ecoprecarity in current Latin American literature written by women authors. Her areas of research focus on literary representations of violence in recent women's literature, as well as intersectional feminism and queer narratives in the Global South.
