In the context of high urbanization rates, emplement! aims to develop transferable methods and tools as well as the necessary capacities in Da Nang and Quang Nam (Central Vietnam) to translate strategies and plans into practical, efficient, sustainable and resilient measures that work synergistically at planning and practice level. During the R&D phase, pilot projects in four fields of action (tourism, agriculture, industry, construction) will be carried out and scientifically monitored to explore trans-sectoral synergies.
The results will lead to a comprehensive methodology for other Asian cities. Training and workshops will strengthen local capacities, and the results will be made available as a toolbox. The German-Vietnamese team will build on previous experiences and the pilot projects will refine the methodology and define the implementation in the fields of action.
As part of the project, the University of Tübingen is addressing the topics of sustainable forest management and the Regional Sustainable Tourism Network, which spans Da Nang and Quang Nam.
