I am a Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) alumnus and hold a Master of Arts degree in Educational Policy and Administration, with specialization in Comparative and International Development Education (CIDE) track, from the University of Minnesota, USA. I also have a Bachelor of Education degree (French/History) from Kenyatta University, Kenya.

Currently, I'm a doctoral candidate in comparative and international development education at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. My PhD dissertation focusses on how regional integration impacts the quality of university education in Germany and Kenya. As an educator with several years of experience in pedagogy, comparative and international development education, educational policy, educational administration and educational research, I worked at the African Virtual University (AVU) from November 2013 to September 2019 as Program Officer, Research & Development.

Prior to joining the AVU, I worked as a part–time instructor at the University of Nairobi’s College of Education and External Studies. I have also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota and have experience spanning several years as a high school teacher and an assessor for the Kenya National Examinations Council. I am a Kenyan national and speak English, French and Kiswahili.
