Non-invasive methods to follow certain cells in the mouse can reduce animal experiments
Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Robert Feil und Dr. Susanne Feil (Interfakultäres Institut für Biochemie) as well as Prof. Dr. Bernd Pichler (Werner Siemens Imaging Center) on receiving the Eberle Innovation Award for Tübingen Research.
The prize is awarded to scientists whose work addresses important future problems and has significant innovation potential. The awardees have developed a non-invasive method to track specific cell populations by positron emission tomography (PET) in living mice, which could help to reduce and refine animal experiments in the future. Their work has been published in the journal Nature Communications.
