Mathias Albert is <link http: www.uni-bielefeld.de soz powi albert.html>Professor of Political Science at the University of
Bielefeld. His research focuses on world society theory and the sociology of international relations. He is also a member of the research team for the Shell Youth Study.
Among his recent publications Jugend 2010 – 16. Shell Jugendstudie 2010, Frankfurt a.M.: Fischer (2010, ed. together with Gudrun Quenzel et al.) and New System Theories of World Politics, Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan (2010, ed. together with Lars-Erik Cederman and Alexander Wendt). Mathias Albert published also Transnational Political Spaces, Frankfurt a.M.: Campus (2009, ed. together with Gesa Blum et al.) and Die Entgrenzung der Politik. Internationale Beziehungen und Friedensforschung, Frankfurt a.M.: Campus (2004, ed. with Bruno Schoch and Bernhard Moltmann). His articles have appeared in International Organization, Millennium: Journal of International Studies, New Political Science, Zeitschrift für Internationale Beziehungen, International Political Sociology and many other leading journals. He has served as a member of the Governing Council of the International Studies Association and is presently co-heading <link http: www.unibw.de ib-sektion front-page>the International Relations section of the German Political Science Association.
