Knud Erik Jørgensen is Jean Monnet Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. His research focuses on the European Union, Security, the international community as well as international organisations.
Among his publications are The Social Construction of Europe, Thousand Oaks: Sage (2001, ed. together with T. Christiansen and A. Wiener) and Construction international relations: The next generation, Sharpe: New York (2001, ed. together with K. Fierke). More recent publications cover The
European Union and International Organizations, London: Taylor & Francis (2009, ed.), European Democracy: Foundations, milestones, future perspectives, Copenhagen: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (2009, ed.), and International Relations Theory: A New Introduction, Basingstoke:
Palgrave (2010), Professor Jørgensen is associate editor of the Journal on European
Integration and Chair of the ECPR-Standing Group on International Relations
(SGIR).
