Several architectural fragments – predominantly in sandstone – have been found in Ladenburg, the Roman town of Lopodunum. These can be attributed to several Roman buildings and attest to hitherto unknown monuments. The primary purpose of the project that began in 2016 is the photographic and graphic documentation of the architectural fragments, their respective historical interpretation, as well as their thorough publication. The project is financially supported by the Zukunftskonzept of the University of Tübingen (ZUK 63).
The project is carried out in collaboration with:
Andreas Hensen (Lobdengau-Museum, Ladenburg)
Katharina Sahm (Architectural History)
Thomas Zachmann (Photography)
