  • 2019: Late Miocene brown coal deposits of Bulgaria (mainly mammals)

  • 2018, 2019, 2020 and ongoing: field work at the late Miocene fossil locality Hammerschmiede (Allgäu, Germany) (University of Tuebingen) (mainly mammals)

  • Functional morphology, taxonomy and ecology of late Miocene ruminants

  • Morphology of the ruminant inner ear

  • Micro-computed tomography and 3D reconstruction

  • Evolution and ecology of coelacanth fishes in Europe during the Rhaetian (Upper Triassic, Bonenburg locality in cooperation with the University of Bonn)
