Text and Idea of Aristotle's Science of Living Things (TIDA)

Guus joined TIDA as a postdoctoral researcher in 2024. Prior to that he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Center at the University of Tübingen (2022-2024). He completed his doctorate on Plato’s Theaetetus at the University of Oxford (2020), where he also held various teaching positions.

His research interests lie in Plato’s and Aristotle’s epistemology and metaphysics, in particular their accounts of knowledge, belief, truth, and falsehood. His work as part of TIDA focuses on the role of truth and falsehood in Aristotle’s account of perception and other cognitive capacities.
