Project Description

Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL), characterized by the differential emission of left- or right-handed circularly polarized light, has attracted increased attention in recent years due to its potential application in numerous technologies including holography, quantum computing and cryptography.
This project investigates perovskite nanocrystals capped with chiral ligands as CPL sources. By systematically varying the ligands, a deeper insight into the mechanisms of chirality transfer should be gained to improve the dissymmetry factor, a key metric for the extent of CPL, in the resulting colloidal nanocrystals.
