About
Salma A. Ibrahim graduated in 2018 from the American University of Kuwait, with a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her bachelor program, following the four-field program of the American school of anthropology, concentrated in Cultural Anthropology. In 2023, Salma obtained her M.Sc., in Archaeological Sciences and Human Evolution, specializing in Palaeoanthropology. During her time as a Master's student, Salma also worked as a laboratory assistant (HiWi) at the Palaeoproteomics Department at the University of Tübingen. Currently, she is enrolled as a Palaeoproteomics PhD candidate at the University of Tübingen as part of the ERC-funded FIRSTSTEPS project. Her research aims are to conduct ZooMS analysis for taxonomic identification using collagen peptide mass fingerprinting and to assess the faunal preservation from Middle to Upper Palaeolithic sites in Greece.
