After having completed a Bachelor’s programme in social work at the DHBW Stuttgart, Lea continued to study political science and sociology (B.A.) and Democracy and Governance in Europe (M.A.) at the University of Tübingen. In addition to two semesters at ULiège and Sciences Po Paris, Lea also lived and worked in Canada, the United Kingdom and Aotearoa/New Zealand.
