The organizers of the project "Taiwan Politics, History, and Society: A Series of Lecture Series" were enabled by a generous grant by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange to bring a number of the most outstanding Taiwanese scholars to the University of Heidelberg's Institute of Chinese Studies, the University of Edinburgh's Asian Studies' Department, the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan at the University of Tübingen, where they held lecture talks in their respective areas of expertise, thus boosting academic teaching on Taiwan in Europe. On the same lines Taiwan Experts from the SOAS faculty went to the three other places and gave talks as part of the joint project. Here some of the talks are presented in edited form as downloadable PDF-files.
