Institutskolloquium: Ioannis Grigoriadis "If Not Now, When? The Cyprus Negotiations and Their Future"

Ioannis Grigoriadis is <link http: ioannis.bilkent.edu.tr external-link-new-window external link in new>Associate Professor at Bilkent University (Ankara). and 2016/17 <link https: www.swp-berlin.org en projects turkey-in-the-international-system introduction external-link-new-window external link in new>IPC Mercator Research Fellow at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP). He is an internationally recognized analyst of Turkey-EU and Greco-Turkish Relations as well as the Cyprus conflict. As the Cyprus negotiations were as close as hardly ever before to a solution and yet have reached a new impasse, and in the context of significant changes to the Turkish constitutional structure and deteriorating EU-Turkey relations, Grigoriadis in his talk will give an up-to-date assessment of the negotiations and discuss their prospects.

Grigoriadis received his MA from Columbia University (New York) and his PhD from SOAS/University of London. He is the author of Trial of Europeanization: Turkish Political Culture and the European Union (Palgrave, 2008) and numerous journal articles.
