Lorenzo Fioramonti is Jean Monnet Chair in Regional Integration and Governance Studies and Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Pretoria (South Africa). He is also Senior Fellow at the Centre for Social Investment of the University of Heidelberg and at the Hertie School of Governance (Germany) and Associate Fellow at the United Nations University Comparative Regional Integration Studies (Belgium). He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative and European Politics and has published over 40 scientific articles on European Union’s governance and foreign policy, African governance, development policies and social progress indicators in international journals such as Development in Practice, Development Dialogue, European Foreign Affairs Review, Third World Quarterly, The Journal of Civil Society, The International Spectator, African and Asian Studies.
