Biophysical Chemistry and High-Resolution Plant Imaging

Using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and spectroscopy, our group studies living plant cells, applying frequency and time resolved spectroscopic techniques. Moreover, our interest is focused on the development of novel spectroscopic techniques to enhance e.g. the image contrast or the spatial optical resolution. As we strongly advocate interdisciplinary research, we strive to establish cooperations to other faculties and science departments. Especially noteworthy is our longstanding and fruitful collaboration with the Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP).
