Research Focus
Dr. QIAN’s research focuses on cultural exchanges between China and the Western world, with a particular emphasis on the dissemination of Chinese material culture into the West and the diffusion of Western natural history into the East during the 19th and 20th centuries, within the broader global context. Additionally, she conducts related research on natural history education in 20th-century China.
