Timo Sedelmeier studied geography and European ethnology at the University of Freiburg, where he gained his doctorate in 2011 with a geographical thesis on poverty nutrition in food assistance centers. After lecturing at Freiburg Teacher Training College, he was appointed to a junior lectureship in human geography at the University of Tübingen. In fall 2018 he was appointed associate professor in the working group on urban and regional development. His research focuses on poverty and nutritional geography.
