Guiying Liu is a Ph.D. student specializing in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and Social Psychology at the University of Tübingen. She joined the university in July 2025 after conducting HRI research at RWTH Aachen University. Guiying holds an M.Sc. in Social Psychology from Lancaster University (UK) and a B.Sc. in Applied Psychology from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (China). With industrial experience as an HCI-focused UX Researcher at Huawei, she investigates how humans perceive and interact with robots as social entities, focusing on prosocial behavior and embodied emotional expression through rigorous experimental design. By integrating social psychology theories with HRI, she aims to shape the future of human-robot relationships in both everyday environments and critical situations.
