Commemoration of the Reichsprogomnacht 9/10 November 1938

on Tuesday 10 November in Baden-Baden with Prof. Friederike Lorenz-Sinai

The City of Baden-Baden, together with the Jewish Community, the Council of Christian Churches and the German-Israeli Society, invites you to a commemorative event marking Kristallnacht on 9 and 10 November 1938, when synagogues were set alight throughout Germany, including in Baden-Baden.

The commemoration will take place on Tuesday, 10 November, at 6.00 pm in the Old Council Chamber of Baden-Baden Town Hall.

The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Dr Friederike Lorenz-Sinai, who holds the Chair of Social Science Research on Anti-Semitism at the University of Tübingen. She will speak about the significance of remembrance and contemporary anti-Semitism in our society.

Afterwards, a wreath will be laid at the memorial stone at the former police headquarters. Rabbi Surovtsev will read a psalm. The event will be accompanied by music.

The public is warmly invited to attend the commemoration.
