‘’In Germany, the far-right party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD), which opposes immigrants and refugees, is experiencing a strong resurgence. In 2023, AfD mayors were elected in several municipalities. Against the backdrop of the ongoing influx of migrants and refugees, and the resulting sense of crisis amongst the population, the party ranks second in the polls nationwide. However, scepticism is also growing regarding its neo-Nazi ideologies and its stance, which turns its back on democracy.”
