Associate members following § 5 of the bylaws of the EXC TERRA are
 

1. The associate scientists listed in the cluster proposal, provided they are not full members.
2. Newly admitted associate members from the group of scientists from the participating institutions, other public institutions, partners of the cluster, senior professors, as well as scientists who are committed to the objectives defined in § 2 of the rules of procedure and who wish to participate in the cluster.
3. All scientists, such as postdoctoral researchers and doctoral candidates, who are predominantly funded by the cluster and contribute to TERRA research.
