Alex C. Chang is an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Political Science at Academia Sinica. His research examines the development of generalizable political theory through cross-national comparative analysis, while remaining grounded in classical political thought. His substantive interests span democracy and democratization, electoral behavior and public opinion, and political methodology. His work has been published in Democratization, Journal of Democracy, Electoral Studies, Japanese Journal of Political Science, among other leading outlets.
