"Foreign English language teaching and second language acquisition, and the link between them"

Teach@Tübingen lecture at the Institute of Education for all interested students

Dr. Tzu-Ling Hua, visiting scholar in the frame of the Teach@Tübingen program, will hold a lecture about the link between foreign English language teaching and second language acquisition. The class is of special interest for students studying English and School Paedagogy, but it is open to all students who are interested in this field. It will introduce selected topics within the field of foreign English language teaching, such as key pedagogical approaches, foreign English language teaching contexts, and types of foreign English language teaching. Students are encouraged to engage in discussion or activities to exchange opinions and ideas, and also to clarify anything they are unsure of.

Friday, May 16, 2 pm - 7pm
Saturday, May 18, 9 am - 6 pm
Saturday, May 24, 9am - 6 pm
Sunday, May 25, 9 am - 2 pm

Location: Gartenstraße 29, ground floor, seminar room

Dr. Tzu-Ling Hua received her PhD degree at the Durham University, UK. Her research interest revolves around foreign English language teaching and learning, as well as English for specific purposes. Since October 2013, she is visiting scholar at the Institute of Education in the frame of the Teach@Tübingen program.
