We are continuously looking for highly motivated students for BSc and MSc theses, research internships and not least for PhD projects. Please note that we can't offer research internships to external students.

To reduce both our and your workload, we predominantly recruit through the IMPRS-IS or ELLIS PhD programs. Both have central application systems, an annual deadline in the Fall, and allow applicants to simultaneously apply to multiple potential advisors. Please feel very much invited to apply through these portals.If you find yourself urgently looking for a position and can not, or do not want to wait for the annual application deadlines of these programs, we do also consider direct applications from exceptional candidates. In such cases, please send us your application by physical mail (we unfortunately have to generally ignore applications by email, because we receive far too many of them).
