We will be in Mainz from September 26 to 28, 2024, for the conference Reframing Byzantine Law, and in Heidelberg from October 7 to 9, for the conference The Emperor as Theologian.

We are happy to announce that starting in September 2024 Dr. Jeffrey Berland will join our team with a project on 'Imperial Recognition and "Ecclesiological Compatibility": Frankish-Byzantine Relations ca. 800-850' funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation!

Our contribution to the "Coin of the month" series for March 2024 on the website of the Tübingen Research Center for Islamic Numismatics (FINT).

We look forward to a large attendance and a lively discussion at our double event (TBNES and Special Talks) with Prof. Zaroui Pgossian (Florence) on November 9-10, especially in view of current events in Nagorno-Karabakh.
