Education

Sport and exercise are central means of holistic education, which is seen as a lifelong process. Special attention is paid to physical education, which is one of the subjects with the most hours in a school career and which reaches almost everyone. However, it seems that young people are not sufficiently encouraged to take part in regular sporting activities. The research line school and out-of-school education comprises interdisciplinary projects on the empowerment for sports-related fields of action as well as on the educational effects of sport and exercise and their conditions.
