The administrators of the BAföG Office, part of the Studierendenwerk, decide whether students can be supported with money according to the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz. You will find the necessary forms on the webpage of the StuWe Tübingen.
The BAföG Office requires students who receive or apply for a grant to provide a proof of achievement at certain intervals: the Leistungsnachweis, usually Formblatt 5. The proof is issued, signed and stamped by one of the BAföG advisors at the English Department in their office hours, sometimes also via email:
You will need the following documents:
- a copy of your transcript of records generated from ALMA (could be on a screen) or all relevant paper certificates (Scheine)
- form 05 - Leistungsbescheinigung nach § 48 BAföG, which you can download from the BAföG homepage
- fill in the first section
- indicate up to which semester your achievements should be considered in the second section
The confirmation is needed until March 31 for the Winter semester and September 30 for the Summer semester, so please pay attention to office hours during the break.
