At the University of the Witwatersrand, all teacher education classes take place at the Wits School of Education (WSoE). Students at the WSoE can benefit from over 100 years of experience in teacher education. After completing their Bachelor of Education, teacher candidate students enter a PGCE course (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) to become a fully qualified teacher in South Africa.
