a) B.Sc. Degree in Biology with a grade of 2.50 or better (German grading system)
For applicants with a “Non-Biology” Bachelor's degree which is closely related to biology, a minimum of 30 ECTS credits in relevant subjects (related to the content of the desired degree programme) is required.

b) Evidence of English language proficiency (minimum level B2)
TOEFL (79 IBT or 550 PBT), or IELTS 6.5, or Cambridge Certificate FCE, CAE, CPE (at least level B2), or a recognized higher education entrance qualification or a BSc degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the U.S., or proof of English proficiency at level B2 (or higher) on a higher education entrance qualification (such as the „Abiturzeugnis“).

c) German language certificate (required for international applicants, minimum level A2)

According to the selection statutes for the degree courses M.Sc. Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution, M.Sc. Cellular and Immunological Biosciences, and M.Sc. Neurobiology you can receive bonus points as follows

• Completed vocational training with work experience in a recognised vocational qualification: up to 0.5;
• Completed vocational training in a recognised vocational qualification without work experience: up to 0.4;
• Scientific awards related to biology are assessed on a case-by-case basis: up to 0.5;
• Publications in scientific journals (peer-reviewed journals) related to biology or related disciplines are assessed on a case-by-case basis: up to 0.5;
• Certified involvement in university bodies/committees: 0.1.

The bonus points will be used to increase your GPA during the selection process up to a maximum of 0.5. For example, a bonus of 0.1 will “increase” a GPA of 2.2 (German system) to 2.1.

a) Falls Sie Ihren Bachelor nicht in Tübingen erworben haben/erwerben: Sie schreiben sich innerhalb der im Zulassungsbescheid genannten Einschreibefrist ein. Ihre Einschreibung ist so lange vorläufig, bis Sie im Studierendensekretariat das Original Ihres Bachelorzeugnisses vorlegen.

b) Falls Sie im Bachelorstudiengang in Tübingen studieren, melden Sie sich in den Bachelor zurück und stellen innerhalb der im Zulassungsbescheid genannten Frist einen Umschreibeantrag. Weiterhin müssen Sie beim Studierendensekretariat bis spätestens zu Vorlesungsbeginn des Wintersemesters schriftlich bestätigen, dass Sie alle zum Bestehen des Bachelorstudiengangs erforderlichen Leistungen erbracht haben (incl. Abgabe der Bachelorarbeit!). Ihr Bachelorzeugnis (Note 2,50 oder besser!) darf dann bis 31.12. beim Studierendensekretariat nachgereicht werden, damit Sie endgültig in den Master umgeschrieben werden können.
Wenn Sie die Fristen nicht einhalten, verfällt Ihr Masterplatz! Kümmern Sie sich also rechtzeitig um die Ausstellung Ihres Bachelorzeugnisses bzw. geben Sie Ihre Bachelorarbeit rechtzeitig ab!

Da alle Masterstudiengänge auch in den höheren Fachsemestern zulassungsbeschränkt sind, müssen Sie sich bewerben. Falls im gewünschten Studiengang ein Platz frei wäre und Sie genügend anrechenbare Leistungen vorweisen könnten, können Sie zugelassen werden. Detaillierte Informationen dazu finden Sie hier.
