Projects

I am co-speaker of the Cluster of Excellence TERRA – Terrestrial Geo-Biosphere Interactions in a Changing world (webseite) and member of the Cluster of Excellence "Machine Learning: New Perspectives for Science" (website / blog).

My core projects are funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the ministry for research, technology and space (BMFTR). These projects include: 

• DFG: STACY
• BMBF: PalMod phase III - WG3 Evaluating climate variability
• NETPEC

As a steering group member, I am involved in the following projects: 

• Past to Future out of the Palaeoclimate Modeling Intercomparison Project.
• Climate Variability Across Scales, a PAGES working group focused on understanding spectrum, scaling, and changes of climate variability across space and time.
• Speleothem Isotopes Synthesis and Analysis, a PAGES working group focused on understanding water and carbon isotope ratios in cave deposits.
