Excavations

The excavations on Tell el-Burak extend over several excavation areas.

Excavation area I on the mound of the hill is the largest and contains remains of the Ottoman Period and of the Middle Bronze Age.

Remains of the Iron Age come mainly from excavation areas II – IV on the southern slope of the tell.
