Poietics and Politics of the Pluriverse, Part II brings together junior researchers, artists and practitioners working across Action Research, Artistic Research and Global South Studies.

Over two days, the conference explores how research and artistic practices can engage with plural ways of knowing, creating and inhabiting the world. Through keynotes, panels, workshops and participatory formats, contributors will address questions of revolution, decolonisation, care, cosmology, migration, literature and research-creation.

The programme brings together perspectives from different disciplines, geographical contexts and artistic practices, creating a space for exchange around the poetics and politics of the pluriverse.

What if history became a video game?

Discover how the French Revolution is reimagined in the world of video games, where historical events blend with fiction to create immersive experiences.

Assassin’s Creed Unity (2014), developed by French studio Ubisoft, is one of the most notable examples. By immersing players in Revolutionary Paris, the game blends historical accuracy with captivating fiction to bring one of the most pivotal periods in French history back to life.

Speaker: PD Dr. Friedemann Pestel, historian and professor of modern history at the University of Jena, will guide us through this fascinating exploration at the intersection of history and video games.
