Identifikation und Entwicklung von Talenten im Sport

Angesichts zunehmenden Konkurrenzdrucks im Spitzensport erfordert nachhaltiger Erfolg eine adäquate Talentförderung. Für die hierfür zentralen Aufgaben der Identifikation und Entwicklung von Nachwuchstalenten im Sport versuchen wir für diverse Themen der sportwissenschaftlichen Talentforschung empirische Fundierungen anzubieten und neue Erkenntnisse zu generieren. Gemäß allgemeiner Rahmenmodelle der Begabungs- und Expertiseforschung werden hierzu leistungs- und entwicklungsbezogene Merkmale des Talents sowie seines Umfelds betrachtet. Die bearbeiteten Themen beziehen sich auf

  • die Prognoserelevanz potenzieller Talentmerkmale aus den Bereichen der Motorik und/oder Psychologie (Thema 1 und Thema 2; vgl. hierzu auch das Manual zu den Standarddiagnostiken im DFB-Talentförderprogramm),
  • entwicklungsbezogene Merkmale (z.B. relatives Alter, biologische Reife) und ihre Bedeutung für den Prozess der Talententwicklung (Thema 3) sowie 
  • das sportliche und außersportliche Umfeld, in dem junge Talente heranwachsen (Thema 4).
