Uwe Küchler is Professor for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Before his current appointments, he has taught at the Universities in Bonn, Halle-Wittenberg and Dortmund. Küchler studied at Berlin's Humboldt-Universität (Germany), the University of London's Goldsmiths' College (Great Britain) and at Georgetown University in Washington DC (USA). In April 2016, Professor Dr. Uwe Küchler was appointed Full Professor for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (Didaktik des Englischen) at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen.
His research interests comprise skills and multiple literacies as well as the teaching of literature, film and media in the foreign language classroom. He publishes in German and English. Currently, Uwe Küchler is working on a book project that explores ecological issues in TESOL.
