Sun Mine-ping is professor of College of Communication at National Cheng-chi University. She got a PH.D. in Telecommunication at Ohio University in 1995 and joined the faculty of the NCCU since 1988. She worked as professional journalist in radio, television and magazine of Taiwan and Singapore before 1988.

Her research interest focus on Community/ethnic communication, Citizen/grassroots/alternative media, new media literacy, Media and social change, Audience analysis, Media industry of Taiwan. She has published more than a dozen of articles and book chapters, both in Chinese and English, in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and USA.
