John Kinsella
DAAD Visiting Professor
Prof. John Kinsella (Churchill College Cambridge/Curtin University/University of Western Australia) is currently DAAD Visiting Professor in the English Department, in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Global South Studies.
John Kinsella is one of the most prominent contemporary poets writing in the English language, with almost 50 collections to date. Selections are to be found in

- Peripheral Light: Selected and New Poems, selected and introduced by Harold Bloom (Fremantle Arts Centre Press/W.W. Norton, 2003)

- His Collected Poems will be published in 3 volumes, each of around 1000 pages, by University of Western Australia Press in 2022; 2023 and 2024.
John Kinsella is also a globally visible public intellectual in the area of environmental issues who is strongly committed to justice for Indigenous people (see for instance the collaborative work with Yamaji poet Charmaine Papertalk-Green: False Claims of Colonial Thieves, Magabala, 2018).
