Lilly Roth ist als Doktorandin in der Arbeitsgruppe „Diagnostik und kognitive Neuropsychologie“ in der Forschung tätig. Ihren Bachelor und Master of Science in Psychologie absolvierte sie an der Universität Tübingen. Sie arbeitete während ihres Studiums als Statistik-Tutorin am Psychologischen Institut und interessiert sich für Forschungsmethodik und Datenauswertung, außerdem legt sie Wert auf Open Science. Nach ihrer Masterarbeit über Zahlenverarbeitung in mathematischen Textaufgaben beschäftigt Lilly Roth sich in ihrer Promotion nun mit der räumlichen mentalen Repräsentation von Zahlen. Dabei untersucht sie im Rahmen des DFG-Forschungsprojekts e-SNARC die Replizierbarkeit von grundlegenden Befunden zum SNARC-Effekt („Spatial Numerical Associations of Response Codes“). Dazu werden Online-Studien mit großen Stichproben und hoher statistischer Power zu folgenden Fragenstellungen durchgeführt: Wie automatisch geschieht die räumliche mentale Repräsentation von Zahlen? Wie flexibel sind räumlich-numerische Assoziationen? Unterscheiden sie sich je nach Aufgabenstellung?
Darüber hinaus untersucht Lilly Roth die Gültigkeit von Verallgemeinerungen für kognitive Phänomene (i) von Stichproben (Gruppenebene) auf Individuen (Teilnehmerebene) und (ii) von in einzelnen Sessions getesteten Individuen (Teilnehmerebene) auf die intra-individuelle zeitliche Stabilität (Sessionebene).
