Within the framework of its funding line "Science - Public - Society", the Volkswagen Foundation has approved a joint proposal with the Department of Prehistory and Early History in Tübingen (Dr. Stefanie Samida) and the Department of History in Giessen (Professor Dr. Frank Bösch) entitled "Living History. Reenacted Prehistory between Research and Popular Performance". The sub-project of Empirical Cultural Studies (application and direction: Professor Dr Bernhard Tschofen, duration: 3 years) will investigate "Theme Walking as Living History" from October 2011.
