Institute of Historical and Cultural Anthropology

Faculty and Staff

The Ludwig Uhland Institute (LUI) brings together a diverse group of academics with high-calibre profiles who work closely and productively together in research and teaching. Synergies between the academics (as opposed to a divisive 'chair principle') and sustainable staff development are deliberately given high priority. The Institute's academic staff includes three regular professorships and one associate professorship, two academic senior councillors, several honorary professorships and a large number of academic staff in postdoc or PhD qualification phases. The Institute is also regularly visited by renowned international guest researchers.

This page contains all the important information on the individual persons, their main areas of work and projects. The close cooperation between the Institute's members and professorships is also made clear through the projects.

The office hours of our staff members are listed on the individual profile pages. Contact information for the Institute's management, study organisation, equal opportunities officers and secretariats can be found under administration.
