Hossein Kardgar, M.A.

Hossein (Kaveh) Kardgar is a research associate at the Department of Oriental and Islamic Studies at the University of Tübingen, beginning in October 2024. He earned a BA and MA in Persian Literature and Language from the University of Tehran and a second MA in Iranian Studies from the University of Göttingen, focusing on "Safavid Princes and Pretenders after the Fall of Isfahan." His doctoral thesis explores Jafari Madhhab: Nadir Shah’s policy to integrate Shia as the fifth sect of Sunnism.
