Presently Director of the project Sprachalltag in Baden-Württemberg at the Ludwig-Uhland-Institute/University of Tübingen. This project focusses on the analysis of basic dialects in 160 towns in Northern Baden-Württemberg.

2006 : associate Professor at the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature/University of Bayreuth.
