Practical Theology is the academic reflexion on the relevance of the present and practical (christian) Faith and every theological speech of God. It sees itself as an interdisciplinary dialogue with Social Studies, Cultural Studies and Science as public theology of present transformation processes of the society. Simultaneously, it contributes to a critical self-observation and further development of Ecclesiastical practice. In a short form, three variables are central for Practical Theology: Challenges of the presence, the respective concrete dynamics of the practice and in all the assumption to be able to count on the event and the Gospel of the biblical God.
