Lillian Eichorst

Research Assistant

Lillian Eichorst joined the team “Political Struggles in the Global South” in April 2024 as a research assistant. Originally from the United States, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe, Germany before beginning a Master’s in Peace Research and International Relations at the University of Tuebingen in October 2023. During her studies, she spent a semester abroad in Mendoza, Argentina at the University of Congress and completed an internship with the NGO “Border Partners” on the US-Mexico border. Her research interests include critical migration and humanitarian studies, the political geographic dimensions of borders, and the role of heterodox economics in socio-political transformations.

Zahid H. Zamudio Neme

Research Assistant

Zahid Zamudio is a master's student in Public Policy and Social Change at the Institute of Political Sciences (IfP) of the University of Tübingen since September 2024. Zahid has a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He spent a semester at the Justus Liebig University of Gießen in Germany as part of his studies. He worked on academic projects at UNAM’s Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked at the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since April 2024, Zahid works as a research assistant in the "Political Struggles of the Global South" research group.
