Currently we focus our research activities on

  • superconducting quantum interference devices (nanoSQUIDs) for the investigation of magnetic nanoparticles
  • generation of THz-radiation with intrinsic Josephson junctions
  • quantum hybrids from ultra-cold atoms and superconductors
  • unconventional Josephson junctions and fractional vortices
  • magnetotransport in ferromagnetic and ferromagnet/superconductor-layer structures
  • order parameter symmetry in cuprate superconductors
