Access to the library

The library is located on the second floor of the Hegelbau (turn right when you arrive on the second floor). The main entrance of the Hegelbau is equipped with a ramp. An elevator is available, but it is only from the second floor that it can be used without a special key. If necessary, a key can be obtained from the library supervisor of the Seminar of Philology (Hegelbau, ground floor, left wing) to use the elevator on the ground floor.

The library may only be entered without coats and bags. Lockers are located in the lower floor of the Hegelbau (a padlock is required).

Borrowing books and Suggestions for purchase

In general, all books can only be read in the library (Präsenzbibliothek).
But they can be borrowed over weekends or public holidays (normally only up to five books). If you want to borrow books from the library, you have to present a valid student card.

Borrowing: Fri 9am – 12am
Returning: Mon 9am – 12am

The library has 18 reading places in the library rooms 217, 218, 219.

WiFi access is available in all library rooms.

Self-service photocopiers are available on the 1st, 2nd and 4th floor. They require a student or guest card. Guest Cards can be purchased at the Info Point, Wilhelmstr. 13, right across the street.
