The Master’s program in “School Research and School Development” is housed at the Institute of Education and is designed for teachers with professional experience as well as individuals holding a bachelor’s degree with a focus on education. During the Master’s program, students have the opportunity to develop a specialization with a specific focus. One option is the “Digitalization in Schools” profile. This profile addresses key aspects of digitalization in the context of school and instructional development. Particular emphasis is placed on the research-based integration of current and future-oriented digital educational technologies into the classroom. The module covers central theories and empirical findings related to digitally supported instruction. Furthermore, the module incorporates ethical and sociological contextualizations as well as aspects of media education. To enable data-driven development and integration of educational technologies, students also gain systematic insights into applied research in the field of digital technologies in education.
